Japanese Beauty Academy — JBA Japan
Duration: 13 days • Delivery: Classroom + Hands-on workshops • Location: JBA Training Studio
This single comprehensive course covers skin anatomy, product knowledge, counseling, treatment protocols, and supervised client-style practice leading to a written and practical assessment on Day 13. The program emphasizes safe, repeatable techniques and client communication to build successful professional routines.
Objective: To gain an in-depth understanding of skin structure in order to identify and assess early signs of changes or issues occurring on the client’s skin.
Objective: To understand why skincare is essential and what constitutes proper skincare. Through hands-on practice with training skincare products, students will experience both correct and incorrect application methods and master proper hand techniques.
Objective: To understand why issues such as acne, wrinkles, and pigmentation occur, and why many people struggle to resolve these problems. Students will learn comprehensive methods for addressing and improving these skin concerns through the JBA program.
Objective: To understand why counseling is the most important aspect of skincare and beauty services. Using the JBA original counseling sheet, students will learn how to conduct effective consultations, provide professional recommendations, and develop strategies to encourage client repeat visits.
Objective: To understand that skincare is not limited to external care such as facial esthetics and topical products. Students will learn the importance of inner care — nutrition, hydration, and sleep — for maintaining healthy skin and supporting overall well-being.
Objective: Refine assessment skills and advanced cleansing protocols; learn to select appropriate products based on skin type and condition.
Objective: Master therapeutic hand techniques, facial massage sequencing and client comfort/ergonomics for professional treatments.
Objective: Learn pack selection, application and removal, plus specialty in-clinic treatments that complement home-care regimens.
Objective: Students provide supervised treatments to models/peers, applying full consultation and treatment workflow under instructor guidance.
Objective: Continue supervised clinics and learn retail & home-care coaching to support client retention and product sales.
Objective: Consolidate learning, practice troubleshooting common skin concerns and prepare for the final assessment.
Objective: Students will practice the full process from counseling to applying packs as if working with an actual client, gaining hands-on experience in delivering professional skincare services.
Objective: Final assessment of theoretical knowledge and practical skills learned throughout the program. Successful candidates will receive a JBA completion certificate.
